The Feng Shui Bagua Map: How to Use It?

The Bagua map is one of the most important tools in Feng Shui that brings the power of your intention into focus and manifests abundant living. Feng Shui Bagua has survived for thousands of years. It is based on the ‘I Ching‘ or ‘Book of changes’ which is the sourcebook for many of the cultural practices and traditions in China.

What Feng Shui school to choose?

There are different Feng Shui schools. And each of them teaches different ways of placing the Feng Shui Bagua map on the blueprint of your space. For example, one Feng Shui school teaches always to align the Career zone with the main door. Another Feng Shui school uses compass directions for aligning them with the sectors of the house. That is why many people get confused with which way to place the Bagua.

When I just started practicing Feng Shui that was my main confusion and I even stopped my practice for a while because of this. But once I started studying from the world famous Feng Shui masters it was explained that if you want to get the best results you should always use compass directions.

Compas ImageJust imagine that compass directions connect to infinity and your house is just a tiny part of infinity. No matter where you are or what you do – South will always be South, as well as North will always be North. The understanding of this fact will help you weave the energy field of your house into the energy field of the Universe. And by doing this you will create harmony!

We can always place a projection of the Feng Shui Bagua on the blueprint of your house. It doesn’t matter where you live – in a royal castle, one bedroom apartment, or a renting room, – you can always get terrific results from using the Feng Shui Bagua for your space!

How to create the Feng Shui Bagua map?

First of all, we need to align all Bagua sectors with compass directions.

Draw or print a blueprint of your house (apartment, room). Using a ruler, divide your blueprint into 3 equal parts – vertically and horizontally. This is how you get the blueprint of your house divided into 9 parts. Meanwhile, if your house has an irregular shape, some Bagua sectors will be missing.

It is believed that it is extremely important to have Southwest and Northwest. These two sectors represent Mother and Father, Feminine and Masculine energies, Yin and Yang.    

Then you should place the Bagua octopus on the blueprint of your house. For doing this you should align the compass directions with your blueprint (you should use the compass for doing this). This is how you determine all the Bagua sectors of your house and what they mean.

Your comfort zone is a situation in which you feel comfortable and you don’t have to do anything new or difficult. We all have a comfort zone, but it’s essential to step outside it, challenge yourself, and deal with life in order to grow, transition, and transform. Stepping outside of your comfort zone is key to discovering your passion, accomplishing your goals, and finding happiness.

In this article, I want to share with you 5 signs that you might be stuck in your comfort zone.

Safe but Dangerous Place

You may think that your comfort zone is not a bad place to be, right? I mean, you’re comfortable, so you must be happy?

If only it worked out that way. Unfortunately, the longer you stay within your comfort zone, the less happy you tend to be.

When we are stuck in our comfort zone, we’re willing to stay in a situation that doesn’t make us happy, for fear that the discomfort we’ll feel by stepping outside of our current circumstances will be greater than the discontent we feel now, however unfulfilled we are.

I see a comfort zone as some kind of energy swamp. You may feel like it’s a nice and warm place but in fact, you’re drowning deeper and deeper in that swamp. Very soon you won’t be able to see or hear anything new and exciting, you will stop feeling happiness and joy. The trick with an energy swamp is you’re drowning slowly but surely. And the more comfortable you feel in there the harder it will be to get out. In order to get out of that swamp, you have to start moving!

We all need to learn how to catch the moment when we start drowning in order to start acting. The signs below will help you to diagnose your current situation and so you can begin moving out of your comfort zone.

5 Signs That You Got Stuck In Your Comfort Zone

1. You Don’t Study

If you think that the time to study has passed when you graduated from school or college then you are definitely in the comfort zone. You have difficulty and reluctance to understand new information especially if it seems complicated or unfamiliar. You have no desire to spend your time and energy on educating yourself on something you don’t understand. You often feel skeptical of unusual and fresh ideas.

If you want to become the person who controls his/her life and creates his/her reality around him you need to make studying a part of your daily routine. Just pick the subject you are curious about but you always felt like it’s too complicated and start learning about it a little bit every day. You can choose a foreign language and start learning five words of phrases every day. Or you can sign for a course. It will boost your intellect, train your memory and will push you out of your comfort zone.

2. You Live the Same Day Over And Over Again

Do you feel like your today does not differ from yesterday, and your tomorrow will not differ from today? You either don’t believe that something can be changed or, most likely, you are afraid of a change.

If you want to make your life exciting, happy, and joyful you have to start making changes. Despite your fears and discomfort, you need to get out of the energy swamp.

You don’t have to make big changes right away. Even making one change at a time will make a difference in your life. Move slowly but surely.

Start small. For example, start making your coffee differently every morning. Don’t drink the same kind of coffee every morning. Be creative! Or take an alternative route to work. Eat at a new lunch spot. Choose something new from the menu. If you normally go to the gym every morning and work out with the weights, one day a week try to go to yoga class. In other words, come up with something new every day. Change your day up and then big changes will follow!

3. You Don’t Meet New People

If your environment hasn’t changed in recent months or even years, and you haven’t made any new friends, this is another sign that you are stuck in a comfort zone.

To push yourself out of your comfort zone start doing small things like this daily:

  • initiate a small conversation with a stranger at the gym/yoga class/coffee shop;
  • sit next to someone new at a meeting;
  • make internet-friends with people from other countries (it’s a great way to practice the foreign language you’re learning!);
  • attent social events more often;
  • start traveling alone (it’s easier to make new friends when you travel alone rather than when you’re always surrounded by your old friends);
  • start conversations on social media.

You can easily come up with your own different ways of meeting new people. Each day gives us plenty of opportunities for this! All we need to do is just to catch them!

4. Low Energy/ Lack of Inspiration

Staying in the comfort zone leads to a lack of goals and inspiration. You see, when our energy level decreases, the desire to create and inspiration disappears. We can’t be creative, inspired and excited about life if we don’t have enough energy.

The energy swamp acts like an energy vampire sucking the energy out of you. That’s why staying in your comfort zone is so dangerous!

It may feel like you have no energy for making any changes in your life. This may lead to the fact that you can get used to destructive conditions such as co-dependent relationships, poor living conditions, and a disdainful attitude to your health and appearance. Even if you think you want to change something you feel like you have no energy and will power for doing this.

Again, try to start small. Make an honest list of what you want to change. Do you want to get healthier? Do you want a romantic relationship that lifts you up? Do you want to be loved and respected? Start with something small! Don’t try to make major changes all at once.

If you want to get healthier, replace your chicken sandwich with a green salad, your soda with herbal tea, your movie night with work out, etc. Pick one thing at a time and turn it into a habit.

If you want to be loved and appreciated by your partner start practicing self-love. Don’t try to convince yourself that you love yourself. It doesn’t work this way. Try to do small self-rituals every day and watch what will happen!

If you often criticize yourself, then your partner will be sure to criticize you too. If you are used to being a victim, then you will attract a partner who will play the role of a tyrant. If you constantly feel guilty, then your partner will find a thousand reasons to blame you for something. In other words, your partner will always be a “mirror” that reflects your innermost thoughts and feelings about yourself. Therefore, you should start with developing self-love and the habit of talking and thinking about yourself only in a positive way!

And as soon as my friend accepted this and started practicing self-love affirmations her boyfriend started giving her all kinds of compliments and attention! “This is a miracle!”, my friend said the next time we met. “This is not a miracle! Meditation to Attract Love: What’s Important to Know?

Meditation to attract love is an effective way to find not only a soulmate but also to find inner peace and harmony.

Before you start your meditation to attract love, you need to create a special atmosphere. Here are some tips on how to do this:

  1. find a quiet and peaceful place where no one can distract you;
  2. put on clean and comfortable clothing;
  3. turn off all the gadgets and electronic items, phones, computers, anything that might interfere with your meditation;
  4. choose the music for your meditation – it can be meditation music, the sounds of the ocean, the sounds of nature, etc.;
  5. light pink or red candles, rose essential oil or incense;
  6. sit in a comfortable position and take a few deep breaths to relax as much as possible.

Close your eyes.

Imagine that you are standing at the entrance to a mysterious grotto or cave. At the entrance, you are met by two majestic peacocks, who wave their heads at you and offer you to enter. You go in and see a huge crystal, shining and shimmering under the trickles of water. From this water comes a pleasant aroma. You go further and hear the voices of angels and heavenly guides who are saying to you: “Follow us”.

You walk through the corridors of your life and at the call of your guardian angels, you enter a small hall that you have never seen before. It’s very cozy! The ceiling is shimmering with pink hues, all in soft carpets and pink pillows. You have entered the sacred realm of love. Here are all your guardian angels and heavenly guides who accompany you in all your good endeavors. Here is everyone you love and who loves you and wishes you well.

Your guardian angel takes your hand and walks to the center of the room. Here you see a small pool of rose water. This water is warm and beckons you to take a dip. In the center of this pool is an elevation from which the source of love flows. It never stops and never ends. The streams of love are endless.

You get naked (or you can visualize yourself in thin transparent clothes) and go into this pool. Feel yourself submerged in soft and warm water. You dip your whole body into it. Love waters wash over you. You are immersed in love. Your whole body, every cell of your body breathes love and is saturated with it. You are filled with a sense of tremendous lightness and joy. You enjoy swimming in this sacred love waters. Stay there as long as you want.

Then come out of the pool and visualize that your soulmate is standing right in front of you. He looks at you with eyes filled with love.

Now imagine that a delicate, fragrant flower is blooming in your heart. Rose, peony, lotus – choose any flower that you associate with the purest form of love. From this flower comes love energy. It looks like pink light. This energy moves towards the heart of your soulmate and enters it. In response to your love energy, the love energy of your soulmate also comes out of his/her heart and enters yours. Now you are connected by a double loop of love energy. Stay in this visualization as long as you like.

Now hug your loved one, and imagine that he/she hugs you too. You feel incredibly happy that you are together and you are in love. There are no fears or doubts. You feel absolute love, trust, and devotion.

Feel this moment. Remember this pleasant feeling. Keep it in your heart even after finishing the meditation. Now that you experienced happiness, joy, and bliss, you can open your eyes.

This meditation is very powerful and effective! Practice it at least twice a week for two months, and you will surely notice an extraordinary change in your life and your perception of yourself and the people around you.
