The one question on everyone’s mind right now is: “When will the pandemic be over”? In the last 19 months, people have been affected physically, financially, and emotionally. Many suffer from mental health issues, emotional burnout, anger, frustration, confusion, phobias, etc. How can you not when the future is so unclear and uncertain? Therefore, seeing an astrological approach to the pandemic situation can be helpful for a deeper understanding of the cause and effect of all these challenges from a cosmic perspective.
In this article, I want to share with you my analysis of the pandemic situation in the world based on Vedic astrology. I hope that by the end of the article you will have a better understanding of this situation and what lessons it brings to us.
What Is Vedic Astrology?
Vedic astrology, called “Jyotish”, is the Vedic science that comes from the Vedas, one of the oldest spiritual scriptures of India. Astrology is one of the limbs of the Vedas that is referred to as the eyes of Vedas due to the ability that it gives – to see our lives and world events with more clarity. Therefore, Vedic astrology is considered to be the science of self-realization through which everything is known. Vedic astrologers are well known for their precisely accurate predictions. Edgar Cayce predicted in one of his trance sessions that Sidereal astrology (which is used in Vedic astrology) would be the astrology of the future.
Predictive Astrology
There are different methods used in Vedic astrology for analyzing the current and predicting future events.
Usually, the transits of the planets very accurately show all the tendencies and events that occur in our lives. The transits of slow-moving planets, like Jupiter and Saturn, usually indicate world events and tendencies. Therefore, I’ll be basing my analysis on such transits.
In this particular analysis, I’ll be looking at Jupiter transits through nakshatras and analyze how these transits affect world events. The nakshatras are lunar mansions. They are like the zodiac signs but are more specific. The nakshatras bring a great predictive power that can be used in readings.
When Will the Pandemic Be Over?
For answering this question, let’s take a look at all the Jupiter transits since the beginning of the pandemic.
We’ve heard about COVID-19 for the first time at the end of 2019 when people started getting sick with some virus of an unknown nature. By March 15th, 2020 the whole world was on lockdown. So, where was Jupiter during this time?
March 4th, 2020 – July 20th, 2020: Jupiter in Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra
Uttara Ashadha is the nakshatra of justice and truthfulness. This nakshatra does not tolerate lies and hypocrisy. Uttara Ashadha motivates people to fight for what they believe is right and practice what they preach. Therefore, while Jupiter was in this nakshatra, protests took place all over the world (George Floyd protests in the United States, Place de la République in Paris, lockdown protests in Germany). Under the influence of Uttara Ashadha nakshatra, people began to doubt the effectiveness and sincerity of the government.
July 21st, 2020 – October 30th, 2020: Jupiter in Purva Ashadha Nakshatra
This nakshatra has a similar psychological influence as Ashadha nakshatra. Therefore, we would see the continuation of people’s frustration manifested in protests. This time, more countries have been experiencing protests. For example, there were big protests in Belarus and the Far East of Russia. Purva Ashadha continued the theme of social justice which brought confrontations, aggression, and anger.
October 31st, 2020 – March 3rd, 2021: Jupiter in Shravana Nakshatra
This is the nakshatra of thinkers and people who are advisers. The situation with the pandemic did not develop too much. It was a waiting period.
March 4th, 2021 – May 21st, 2021: Jupiter in Dhanishta Nakshatra
Dhanishta is the nakshatra of coercion and violence. Under the influence of this nakshatra, governments started acting more forceful, abrupt, decisive, tough, and unpredictable. This is when the world saw the first manifestations of mandatory vaccination.
May 22nd, 2021 – July, 20th, 2021: Jupiter in Shatabhishak Nakshatra
The symbol of this nakshatra is an empty circle, or a thousand flowers or stars. Called the “Veiling Star”, this nakshatra is concerned with healing the human condition spiritually and physically. This nakshatra is directly related to medicine. Therefore, when Jupiter passed through this nakshatra, it further increased the status and importance of the decisions of doctors and the medical system in general.
July 20th, 2021 – January 2nd, 2022: Jupiter Retrograde in Dhanishta Nakshatra
As I said before, Dhanishta is the nakshatra of coercion and violence. Therefore, I can suppose that during this time period, we will see more mandates and restrictions.
January 2nd, 2022 – March 1st, 2022: Jupiter in Shatabhishak Nakshatra
As I already mentioned above, the symbol of this nakshatra is an empty circle. This time, we can expect that the world will be divided. People will be focused on the concept of “us against them” or “them against us”. There will be a big division. I suppose that it can be connected to the vaccination status (vaccinated against unvaccinated or vice versa) or increasing tension in the world between countries (different countries may start uniting in alliances against other countries). Or, the division can occur due to the differences in people’s political preferences (republicans against democrats or vice versa).
During this time, we should remember to focus on our unity rather than our differences. Accepting each other’s views and respecting each other’s opinions without giving up our own beliefs is the main lesson that we will have to learn during this period. Spend more time meditating, reading philosophical or spiritual texts, and self-reflecting rather than arguing and defending your position. This period may become an important spiritual lesson that will help your spiritual evolution or make your life miserable. It all depends on the choice you make: unity or division.
March 2nd, 2022 – April 28th, 2022: Jupiter in Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra
The symbol of this nakshatra is the two front legs of a funeral cot. This is a transformational nakshatra where sacrifice is undertaken for a higher cause in order to make a difference in the world. Many people will feel fearful, nervous, and angry during this time. The death number in the world will rise up. It’s hard to say what would be the cause of big death numbers, I can only guess that this could be related to:
- consequences after being sick with COVID-19 in 2020-2021
- consequences of COVID-19 vaccination
- wars
This nakshatra invites us to do some deep shadow work. This is a transformational period when we have to face our shadows, deeply hidden emotions, and heal our traumas. The world, in general, is facing its shadow. But it is only with our individual shadow work that we can help the world to heal. Don’t let the world events scare you or put you into fear and anger. Abstract yourself from the external chaos and move deeper into your internal healing space. Use this time to transmute all negative emotions, old emotional wounds, and traumas into love, forgiveness, and gratitude.
April 29th, 2022 – February 24th, 2023: Jupiter in Uttara Bhadrapada Nakshatra
This is also a quite dark nakshatra. The symbol of Uttara Bhadrapada nakshatra is the back legs of the funeral cot or a snake in water. The tendencies of the previous period of Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra will continue. There will be an increased number of deaths in the world and more fear in people’s hearts.
However, this nakshatra also motivates people to search for the answers in spirituality. Many people will realize that the “normal” way of looking at all the world disasters doesn’t provide answers and understanding of what’s happening to their lives. So that they will be forced to look for deeper answers within and also in spiritual teachings and practices. There will be many people interested in astrology, tarot, numerology, hypnosis, meditation, Reiki, and other teachings and practices. They will be looking for effective ways to get out of the chaos and stress they’ve been living this whole time.
The only way to live in peace through this period is to find support in spirituality. This is the time when we need to be focused on our spiritual evolution, inner peace, and compassion more than ever. The depth and wisdom that you will gain through your spiritual practice can transcend the darkness of the collective. Therefore, we should understand the responsibility that each of us has for the events that are happening in the world. It is by raising our own vibrations that we can raise the vibrations of the world and dispel the darkness.
Note that this period will last for almost a year!
February 24th, 2023 – April 21st, 2023: Jupiter in Revati Nakshatra
Revati is the last and final nakshatra which symbolizes the finalization of a period. Therefore, I can assume that this could be a period when the solution for ending the pandemic will be found. Revati is a nakshatra of travelers. Therefore, I can suppose that the borders will be opened and restrictions will be lifted, and we will be able to safely travel again. Revati nakshatra also indicates more communication and socialization in the world.
This nakshatra teaches us to be devoted to God, appreciate our friendships and families, forgive, and be more compassionate with others and ourselves. When this period comes, we have to remember to be grateful for being alive and forgive others for all the wrong decisions that kept us in the pandemic all these years.
The Bottom Line
There is a big lesson in every challenge we face. The bigger the challenge, the bigger the lesson. And the bigger the lesson, the higher we rise in our spiritual evolution. During challenging times like this, we have to remember that we came into this world because we chose every single lesson that we wanted to learn. Without these lessons, our evolution wouldn’t be possible. Therefore, let’s focus on what we can learn from this pandemic rather than blame others for the uncomfortable lives we are forced to live during this time.
