The November 2021 full moon kickstarts our final eclipse season of the year on November 19th. Also called the Beaver Moon, this lunation ushers in a lunar eclipse, bringing along fundamental and unexpected shifts for all of us. November full moon eclipse occurs at 3 degrees Taurus and conjunct fixed star Algol. This is expected to be a very violent full moon eclipse that will bring a lot of unpleasant past experiences to the surface. In this article, I will share with you what we can expect from this time according to Vedic Astrology (Jyotish). Also, I will share with you what hidden opportunities are hidden in this full moon eclipse and what we can do to neutralize its negative influence on us.
When Is The Full Moon Eclipse 2021?
A lunar eclipse takes place when the Earth, sun, and moon align in a way that causes the Earth to cast a shadow onto the moon, making the moon appear reddish.
According to NASA, the moon is expected to enter the umbra (the inner part of the Earth’s shadow) at around 2:18 a.m. EST. Up to 97 percent of the moon will be covered by the umbra (the inner part of the Earth’s shadow) at the peak of the eclipse at around 4:02 a.m. EST. Since this is not a total lunar eclipse, the entirety of the moon will not be covered.
The eclipse is expected to end at around 5:47 a.m. EST, after lasting nearly three and a half hours. This makes the November Full Moon Eclipse the longest partial lunar eclipse in 580 years and the longest one in the 21st century.
The eclipse is expected to be visible in all of North America and the Pacific, as well as parts of South America, Australia, and East Asia.
The Full Moon Eclipse from Vedic Astrology Perspective
According to Vedic Astrology (Jyotish), lunar nodes – Rahu and Ketu – also take part in the eclipse (in addition to the factors listed by science). By their nature, lunar nodes are formless clumps of unfavorable energies. They can be compared in some ways with points of radioactive radiation. Radiation is invisible, but its consequences are known to everyone.
However, from the perspective of Vedic Astrology, such eclipses are not harmful in the literal sense of the word for our physical bodies but they rather affect our inner world. Solar eclipses affect our consciousness and subconscious, and lunar eclipses affect our mind and psyche.
To understand how the upcoming Lunar eclipse will affect us, we need to understand the nature of the Moon from the perspective of Vedic Astrology.
The moon supports our mental calmness and clarity of mind. Therefore, three days before and three days after the eclipse, we can usually see an increase in the number of quarrels and conflicts. People become more aggressive and intolerant. As a result, accidents and terrorist attacks may happen.
Mentally, the number of fears and emotions increases. At the physical level, the moon can manifest its effects in the form of disturbances in the lymphatic, circulatory system, and aggravating problems with the lungs. The moon is also associated with water. Therefore, there may be dysfunctions of fluid metabolism and hydro balance in the body. In addition, a lunar eclipse can create problems with water transport. And also, there is a possibility of threats from water, such as floods, tsunami, etc.
The Full Moon In Taurus
According to Vedic astrology, the Full Moon takes place at 3 degrees of Taurus. The full moon eclipse occurs on the Taurus/Scorpio axis (the Moon in Taurus, the Sun in Scorpio).
The full moon eclipse occurs in the fixed star called Algol. The star Algol takes its name from an Arabic word meaning the Demon’s Head. Algol deals with decapitation and losing your mind (‘head’). Moreover, Algol is a very violent star as it can also deal with wars and fights. People will be out of their minds and out of control during this time. Therefore, be very careful and mindful with your communications and how you express your feelings and emotions during this eclipse period.
Another thing that is important to know about Algol is that it is a very karmic fixed star that can deal with losing your honor and reputation. There will be many things that will be brewing that were previously beneath the surface. A lot of unpleasant past experiences will be brought to the surface which will upset many people. However, let’s not forget that this is the perfect opportunity to reflect on those past experiences so that we can heal our emotional bodies and grow through them.
The Full Moon takes place in the lunar mansions of Krittika Nakshatra. Let’s take a closer look at this lunar mansion and what kind of energy it represents.
Krittika Nakshatra is symbolically associated with an arrow in flight, a flame, a knife, or a razor. The primary attributes of this nakshatra are radiance, heat, and sharpness. It is piercing and penetrating. This nakshatra turns people into warriors. It also makes people stubborn, aggressive, and angry.
The presiding deity of Krittika is Agni – the Vedic Fire God. It is said, ‘As the Sun purifies all nature with his light and heat, so Agni shall purify everything which enters his flames’. Agni ‘converts, assimilates, and burns away that which is unwanted’.
Krittika is the sun-ruled nakshatra. Therefore, this eclipse can bring anxiety and transformation to people who work in the spheres/have jobs associated with the Sun. Such professional spheres include managers, CEOs, politicians, presidents, doctors, famous influential people.
The energy of the Sun represents power, authority, and status. Therefore, this eclipse can cause people to lose credibility, power, good reputation, authority. Moreover, the information that has been hidden can be revealed.
In general, this eclipse may increase the likelihood of fights and conflicts with the use of weapons.
Health-related issues of Krittika nakshatra include digestive ailments of the small intestine, liver inflammation, hypertension, and enlargement of the heart. It can also cause health issues related to the eyes, neck, larynx, tonsils, and lower jaw.
Krittika nakshatra is going to karmically scan each of us and reveal our debts. We need to be prepared to face еру consequences of our past actions. Performing the practices described below will help us soften the karmic lessons and align ourselves to the rhythms of our planet and the Universe.

The Bottom Line
Any eclipse is a reboot of a person’s deep state – by analogy with the “Reset” button on a computer, when the only way to get the computer working again is to restart it. Therefore, we should be mindful of the importance of the role of eclipses in our lives because this is the chance for us to “reset” our consciousness and our lives.
During the days of eclipse, it is very beneficial to work with subconscious programs. It is better to write down in advance all those qualities of character that, as it seems to you, hinder you. During the first half of the eclipse and at its peak – in meditation, mentally get rid of them, dissolve them. Those qualities of your character and those states of mind that you want to get or grow, you also need to prepare in advance. After the peak of the eclipse, mentally say those qualities and in meditation absorb them into the body. This practice is simple but very effective.
Also, remember that each eclipse is a powerful opportunity for us to cleanse our karma and grow spiritually. This is a great time for our personal and collective evolution that carries tremendous potential for humanity and the planet.
