The law of attraction is universal and real. According to this law, our thoughts are the magnets for the desired or unfortunate events in our lives. Therefore, if you constantly repeat the same thought in your head, other similar thoughts will be attracted to it. And if you repeat several similar thoughts in your head then their magnetism is intensified, your behavior is changed and everything you thought begins to manifest into reality.

According to the law of attraction, we attract what we believe. For example, if a person thinks “I am constantly sick” or “I am unhappy and I will not be happy”, then eventually all this will be manifested in his/her life. After all, the law of attraction does not distinguish between positive and negative, it returns to you all that you send out to the Universe. Some people think that they do well when they think, “I never want to get sick,” but in reality, this statement is negative. It turns out that regular affirmation practice allows us to make the required changes in our lives and shape the desired reality. At the same time, this practice doesn’t require any hard work.

You can practice the law of attraction affirmations at any time, regardless of external circumstances. We have a huge number of thoughts swarming in our heads every second and, as a rule, they are unfocused and unconscious. Thoughts constantly and randomly change under the influence of the world and the existing problems.

Thus, our subconscious, trying to realize all our desires, brings to reality what we think most. After all, for the subconscious mind, there is no difference – good or bad, we do the assessment, and it just tries to fulfill what we project into the world.

1. Keep Your Affirmations Personal

Your affirmations should be personal. They should be a kind of self-talk to yourself. The only person you can change is you. Therefore, never try to use affirmations for changing someone else. You can affirm: “I am healthy! I am successful! I am happy! etc.”. This is due to the fact that the subconscious mind works for us and only for us.

2. Affirm in the Present Tense

The only way we can create a great future is by changing our thoughts in the present moment. The present moment contains a magical power of manifesting our reality. What we think and do today creates our future.

When we affirm in the present tense we ensure that our subconscious mind starts to work on them right away. When you say “I will…” or “I’m going to…” you’re placing your desire somewhere out there. There is no creative power in the future. Your past and future are the two biggest illusions that distract your focus. The real creative power is in the present moment! And only in the present moment can you manifest!

Therefore use affirmations in the Present tense, like: “I am healthy!”, “I am successful!”, “I’m wealthy”, etc.

3. Avoid Negative Words

When creating your law of attraction affirmations, avoid negative words such as “not”, “no”, “don’t”, “never”, “can’t”, “won’t”. When you use these words you make your mind focus on something you don’t want in life and make your affirmations negative. Instead of focusing on what you don’t want you should focus on something you do want. In this way, you direct your subconscious mind to manifest the positive results you desire.

4. Avoid words that manifest negativity

Also, when affirming your desired reality avoid words that manifest loss, something you’re trying to get away from or get rid of, such as “get rid of”, “stop”, “give up”, “avoid”, “refrain”, etc. For example, instead of saying: “I’m losing 13 pounds”, say “My weight is … (your ideal number)”.

5. Avoid “I Want”, “I Wish”, “I Would Like”

These phrases manifest a lack of something. When we want something it means we don’t have it in our life. So, when the Universe is hearing your request, it manifests it in a way that you will always want something but never actually get it. You’ll be wanting all your life for your wishes to come true. Therefore there is a big difference between “I want” and “I have”. Only “I have” has the power to bring you what you request.

6. Make Your Words Powerful

You should be totally passionate about what you’re affirming. Passion brings creative energy into your affirmations. Your positive emotions turn your statements into the law of attraction affirmations. Therefore the more passion and energy you put into your affirmations, the more powerful and effective they will be. Use the words that inspire you the most. For example, you can use such words as “brilliant”, “joyful”, “fantastic”, “amazing”, “wonderful”, etc. The more passion, emotions, and energy you give to your law of attraction affirmations, the faster they will work. Make your affirmations as exciting for you as possible.

7. Turn Your Desires Into Power Phrases

Make your affirmations short, direct, and memorable! This technique is also widely used in advertising. Advertisers call it “slogan“, the law of attraction practitioners call it “power phrases”.

8. Keep Your Intentions Secret

Some law of attraction experts say we should only share our goals with those people who will support them. But according to my personal experiments with the law of attraction, I suggest you to never share your goals and intentions with anyone (even best friends and family members). Keep them in secret! Every time we share our goals with somebody (even very supportive like-minded people) we take energy away from their manifestations. After many disappointments with the law of attraction techniques, I discovered for myself that my secret goals are always 100% manifested and much faster than the ones I shared with the most supportive people in my life.

Therefore, my personal recommendation is: “Keep your intentions secret and share the results with loved ones”.

Some the law of attraction practitioners say that you can affirm mentally or out loud. But my personal experience has shown that if you really want your affirmations to work fast and effectively you should affirm out loud (or at least in a whisper mode). My practice showed that the focus that you keep while affirming is much stronger when you do it out loud. When you’re affirming mentally its much easier to get distracted and lose your concentration. I also discovered that the most effective way to do it is in front of the mirror when you’re looking into your eyes. Don’t forget your thoughts give birth to new behaviors that also must be acted upon and repeated to help support your desired manifestations.
