Some say you are hypersensitive or in some cases, too emotional. Did you know that there are several different empath types?

But is the intensity a weakness?

No!

No, because there is no way, we could be compassionate without the ability to echo someone else’s feelings. That deep, raw, and sensitive feeling makes living a worthy pursuit.

So Who Is An Empath?

An empath is someone with the unique ability to mirror the feelings of another person even without undergoing their circumstances. In its purest form, it means being able to be in other person’s shoes emotionally or having that extra dose of empathy within you. We could say “an emotional sponge” of sorts.

The Six Common Empaths Types

  1. Emotional Empath

These are the most common and have the unique ability to pick up another person’s emotions or energy without even having to talk them. They do so without asking questions.

When they say, “l feel you,” they mean it to the core.

If someone tries to play macho with them, it is effortless to peel off that mask and get to the nucleus of their emotions.

For these empath types, setting apart their own emotions from those they stumble across is essential to prevent them from exhausting their energy reserves.

  1. Physical Empath

Intuitively, they can tell the symptoms of an ailing person by feeling the same. It could be a headache or flu. They do this by experiencing the same in their bodies. These empath types can make a career out of it. You just need to undergo some training in the medical field and become a certified healer. A few extra bucks won’t hurt, right?

  1. Intellectual Empath

Also termed as Claircognizance, they can tell an individual’s state of mind by focusing on their thoughts. With the ability to mix-match different vocabulary and lingo in a conversation in an instant, it becomes easy for them to converse differently depending on an individual. Subconsciously and with minimal effort, they can tell your personality. These empath types make a career by being psychics.

These empath types have an intimate connection with the physical landscape. Moods can change depending on the environment. They also feel a deep attachment for places such as churches or historical sites.

It is no surprise they get emotional whenever there is damage to the environment such as when cutting trees. Instinctively they can tell when changes have occurred to a room they have just entered.

You may call them nature lovers, but they are much more to that. They have this unexplained connection to nature that makes it possible for them to tell what plants desire. Without much effort, they know the exact place that a plant fits in your backyard.

A Sense of time is lost when you are with animals. You can’t seem to have enough of them. You also feel the same way. When torn between hanging out with friends or animals, do you easily cancel plans with your friends? If yes, then you know you are an animal empath.

There is a bottomless connection with these creatures to the point of sensing what they are feeling or experiencing, telepathy of sorts. It is something that could be honed to qualify you as an animal healer. You are that one person who can accurately identify what the animal is ailing from and administer treatment.

1. You are super sensitive to your surroundings

In an instant, you are at the top of the world, upbeat and jubilant. Then in another, your world comes crumbling down.

6. You can’t stand public places

It becomes overwhelming being in the presence of crowds such as in malls or stadiums. Solitude becomes an unlikely best friend.

7. You can unravel honesty from a distance

Sounds like a superpower, right? It’s hard to explain, but at times you can tell if someone is telling the truth or not.

General opinions about a certain culture, race, sex, political ideals, or spiritual views have a great impact on society as a whole. Yet, not everyone has the same view about such matters as interracial marriages, LGBT, abortion, or even how you should raise your child. That’s why, when you are on the receiving end of these beliefs, you can accumulate collective shadows from as early as childhood. These shadows define who you are today, robbing you of a fulfilled life. What Is a Collective Shadow?                                          

A collective shadow refers to those lingering memories relating to unpleasant events that took place at different stages of our lives. These events are due to a deviation of beliefs stemming from your immediate family, immediate culture and society, or the global community. Think of all those childhood wounds or intergenerational traumas you may have gone through when you were a victim of racism, homophobia, or stereotyping in your school, workplace, or overall community.

How you manage these wounds dictates whether you will live a fulfilled life or become a restless soul. More so, you may turn from being a victim to a perpetrator, projecting your perceived inferiority on those you see as morally deficient because, naturally, your mind will refer to these layers of psychological junk in all your decision-making.

The Sources of Collective Shadow

Below are some ideologies that plant toxic memories making up an individual’s collective shadow:

  • Homophobia
  • Apartheid
  • Sexism
  • Slavery
  • Human trafficking
  • Racism
  • Ableism
  • Speciesism
  • Religious discrimination

Ideally, the source of a collective shadow is any ideology that looks down or rejects a certain group or individuals. And, some people deal with two or more sources at the same time. For example, a child who is a victim of human trafficking may end up in a region where racism is rampant.

A collective shadow results in an unpleasant character-forming in a person involuntarily. More so, many victims hardly recognize the shadow as the root cause of their prejudices towards minority groups. In turn, you may have an interpersonal conflict or even a fully-fledged war as witnessed in many countries across the globe.

Hence, deal with any shadow elements you have as early as possible. Expect a layered process that may start with you but not necessarily end with you.  For example, Nelson Mandela’s contribution towards ending apartheid in South Africa took more than his effort to accomplish. The Shadow Work

Shadow work entails confronting all the past atrocities, horrors, and tragedies that have created a blind spot in our unconscious mind.   • The shadow elements are the victim’s reality
  • Their spiritual work focuses only on the positives
  • They want to encourage the “good vibes”

  • We live in an illusion whereby everything is love and society is inherently evil

The above opinions are far from true. For example, attributing the shadow elements to karma dismisses the victim’s pain. And, focusing on the positive aspects of life is an avoidance approach that hinders conflict resolution. More so, these notions can create more collective shadows in the victims that seek guidance from the said spiritual leaders. Yet, when done with compassion, shadow work is achievable.

3 Ways to Unravel the Collective Shadow

#1: Be Receptive to Others

Did you grow up exposed to stereotypes on sexuality, spirituality, or certain medical practices? Seek knowledge on these ideologies. Accommodate those you view as not fitting in your circle. Do this by spending more time with them to hear their perceptions. Chances are, the effects of a long-overdue misunderstanding or unresolved conflict are being passed on from one generation to the next. Therefore, be the one to break this chain.

#2: Examine Your Role in Perpetuating the Beliefs

Once you identify your collective shadow, ask yourself how your actions are sustaining these false beliefs. For example, who are you following on social media? Take a closer look at the people you listen to, the friends you have, the activities and people you financially support, the feelings you have toward certain groups. Think about the ways you could be perpetuating old and unhealthy ideas and beliefs. By questioning your actions, you become able to see how even you could become a source of the shadow elements for future generations.

#3: Acknowledge Your Responsibility

One way or another, each of us unconsciously internalized parts of the Collective Shadow. When you drop your ego, you’ll be able to clearly see your participation in the Collective Shadow.

Whatever you did, own up to your mistakes by recognizing them as lessons. Approach the person you hurt and seek their forgiveness and forgive yourself for not being your best self in particular situations. It’s okay to be imperfect and say the wrong thing. What matters is what you do after you learn that you’ve made a mistake. Only a few of us are able to take the responsibility to correct the impact of our utterances. Finally, learn to be humble, apologize, and take sincere steps to open your heart and mind.

Conclusion

Collective shadows pile up over time, becoming a disruptive thick layer that impacts the rest of our lives. They define who you are today, and how you view anyone that is of a differing opinion or belief. So, if you realize that you are holding on to dysfunctional beliefs from your traumatic past, engage in shadow work to remove these layers of lies. Start by listening to those of a contrary opinion to yours. Check how your collective shadows are provoking biased decision-making against minority groups. And, in humility, acknowledge those you hurt.

Feng Shui astrology believes that each month has its unique energy and character. Therefore, each month’s energy is expressed through one of the 12 Zodiac animals and connected to one of the 5 elements.

March 2021 is the month of the Metal Rabbit. In this article, I will share with you what kind of energy and events to expect in March 2021 and how to properly choose dates for different events.

According to the Chinese calendar, March 2021 is ruled by the Metal Rabbit.

In Chinese mythology, the Metal Rabbit is an image of Metal smashing into Wood. However, unlike the previous month, this is a more subtle metal that represents hidden intrigues, “stabs in the back” and other behind-the-scenes actions.

The Metal Rabbit looks beautiful and elegant, but it is quite fragile inside. Under the external nonchalance can be hiding the internal alertness and anxiety. Under the influence of the energies of the month, people will become more cautious, alert, and distrustful, especially, when dealing with anything new and unfamiliar. Irritability and understatement can be the main problems of this month.

On the other hand, the Metal Rabbit is glamorous and sophisticated in its nature. Therefore, people will feel more attractive and charming. You may notice that it’s much easier to charm others and ask for help.

In general, the Metal Rabbit will bring us more diplomacy in relations with others. Train your patience – this quality is a slogan of this month!

In March 2021, it is not recommended to travel in general. It’s better to postpone it if possible. The most dangerous directions for traveling this month are the Southeast and Northwest. This recommendation only applies to long-distance trips. It is ok to take a walk or move around the city or close to it in the Southeast or Northwest direction.

March 16th and 28th are good dates for any positive affairs. Actions started on these dates will get off to a good start and have every chance of success. It’s a good date for celebration, signing deals, buying valuable property, or starting a new job. However, these dates are not suitable for those born in the year of the Snake.

March 18th and 30th are good dates for official openings. These dates are good for signing a new agreement, getting a new job, or starting school. However, this date is not suitable for those born in the year of the Sheep.

Days With a Higher Risk of Getting Viruses And Other Infectious Diseases

March 5th, 27th, and 29th – during these days it’s easier to get a disease, which is especially important at the current time. Therefore, make sure during these days you practice social distancing and stay home, as there is an increased risk of getting infections and viruses!

Inauspicious Days In March 2021

March 12th, 24th, 24th, and 26th are unfavorable dates to start important things.

March 7th, 19th, and 31st are not suitable dates for a lot of activity, organizing important events, or starting medical treatment. But you can use these dates to complete old cases.

March 13th and 14th are days of loss. Don’t start anything important on these dates.
