Powerful Full Moon Bath Rituals for Reconnecting With the Moon

If we do not live in the rhythm of the lunar cycle, we most likely will feel mood swings. Moreover, our emotional and even physical condition may deteriorate. Therefore, it is very important to understand the influence of nature on us and learn to live in harmony with it. Knowledge of the lunar cycles makes our lives much more pleasant and easier because we no longer “swim against the current” and contradict the world around us anymore. In addition, our health is significantly improved, because the internal processes in our body begin to occur in the most harmonious ways in resonance with the external.

If you want to influence the quality of the moon in your life, harmonize it, and reconnect with lunar power, then full moon bath rituals are the most powerful and pleasant way to do it.

In this article, I want to share with you my three all-time favorite full moon bath rituals I like to perform. And as a bonus, I’ll give you some tips on other practices you can do for balancing the Moon in your life.

Full Moon Bath Ritual for Rejuvenation

During the full moon period, the Moon has a rejuvenating, soothing effect on our body. That’s why it’s very beneficial to use the Moon’s energy for rejuvenation benefits.

It is very good if you have access to the ocean, a lake, or a pool during this period. Then just go and bathe in the moonlit path, realizing all the goodness of this moment. While you’re swimming, imagine how your cells are updated, wrinkles are smoothed, and the whole body is rejuvenated.

If you are in an urban environment, then collect water in a jug and put it on the windowsill or take it out into the backyard, so that the Moon is reflected in the water. Let the water soak up the energy of the Moon for a while. Enter the tub with cool water, and pour into it the water from the jug. In a calm and meditative state, take a bath before going to bed. Feeling how all the cells of your body rejuvenate, the skin is filled with radiance and brilliance.

Full Moon Bath Ritual “Bathing in the Moonlight”

This is one of the easiest full Moon bath rituals to perform.

This ritual will help you with sexual appeal. Prepare a big jar, a silver spoon, three lemons, petals of three yellow roses (or a handful of dry Linden flowers, or chamomile), rose essential oil (or lemon, or patchouli, etc.).

The preparation part of the ritual should be performed out during the day before the full moon.

Early in the morning, pour clean water into the jar and put a silver spoon in it. Water should stand for at least 6 hours. Cut the slices of three lemons, put them in a jar, add rose petals (dried flowers must be brewed with boiling water and infused for 20 minutes), and essential oil. Put the jar on the windowsill so that it permeates the moonlight, and leave for the night.

The next day, in the evening, during the actual full Moon time, fill up the bathtub with warm water and slowly pour the contents of the jar. Then lie down in the bath, close your eyes and imagine swimming in a lake of moonlight, and visualize that you are absorbing lunar energy.

Take a bath for at least 20 minutes.

Cleansing Full Moon Bath Ritual

This is one of my favorite full Moon bath rituals!

This full Moon bath ritual will help you cleanse the body, mind, and spirit of internal and external negativity and stagnant energy. It can be performed on the full Moon or the waning phase of the moon following the full Moon.

This ritual should be performed three nights in a row: the night before the full moon, the full moon night, the night after the full Moon. Or you can perform it during the full Moon itself and two days later.

Cleanse the Energy of Your Bathroom

Before performing this ritual you should cleanse the bathroom itself with prayers, burning sage, or incense.

Intention

Set the intention for your cleansing bath – what do you want to let go of? For example, the root cause of a disease, anxiety, fear, or chronic negativity. It can also be envy, a negative dialogue with yourself, or obstacles in obtaining harmonious relationships in personal or professional activities.

Be ready to let go of all the physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental consequences of trauma, hurtful words, evil actions, and negative thinking not only directed at yourself but also coming from you.

Candle

Prepare a white candle in advance, place it in a white or transparent candlestick or glass. Offer words or a prayer of gratitude to the Creator, the Moon, the Spirit, the Power for this healing procedure, for the spiritual gift given to the plants that you will use, which are given to us to help in healing and purification. Ask for the protection and blessings of spirit, the ancestors, the moon, and your mentors and guides.

Herbs

Take the herbs. White sage is required, Basil and rosemary are desirable. You can also add lavender, mint or lemon, and marigolds. Boil water in a large pot and add a large handful of each herb.

Another good way is to wrap all the herbs in a piece of natural fabric. You can also bind a large bunch of herbs if they are collected or purchased in whole plants and this beam then carries out the cleansing.

Bring the herbs to a boil and then turn it off. Fill the bath up to three-quarters and add the herbs. If you use herbs in the fabric, make the bathwater hotter and wait until they give their strength to the water.

Lie Down in the Bathtub

You should lie in the bath for at least 15 minutes.

It is extremely important that the water washed every part of your body, including your head. You can water yourself from a mug.

Intention

Now, when you water yourself or lie in the bath, it is recommended to say this intention:

“I return any energy that I may have received from someone, consciously or unconsciously, to my inner source, with blessing, peace, and love. I also take back my own personal power and energy that I have given, consciously or unconsciously, to restore integrity and balance.”

It is best to say it out loud, with a strong intention three times.

Note

When the cleansing is over, do not wash off the herbs and do not dry yourself off with a towel – let the body and head dry completely on their own.

For at least three days, refrain from watching violent or sad movies, and from being around people who don’t resonate with your views, dreams, and spiritual pathway.

What Else Will Be Beneficial on Full Moon?

  • Cooking for your family and friends will help to activate and balance the Moon energy.

  • Taking care of the plants.
  • Doing something nice and giving gifts to your mom or any other older women.
  • Giving flowers to women.

When we refuse to let go of our past there is constant pressure on our energy and we feel disharmony, fatigue, and stress. Try to perform these full Moon bath rituals monthly.
