Sage image

Sage is considered to be one of the most powerful herbs used in magic and spiritual rituals. Since ancient times, sorcerers, witches, shamans, used this plant during various rites and rituals, for making potions, amulets, and charms.

Sage drives away evil spirits, protects people from the evil eye, damage, misfortune, and even promotes fertility.

In this article, I will share with you the benefits of sage and different ways to use it.

What Are Sage Benefits?

It has many amazing benefits. Let me share with you some of them.

1. Remedy for treating depression, anxiety, and mood disorders

Sage smoke offers rapid delivery to the brain and efficient absorption to the body. It can clear up to 94% of airborne bacteria in a space and disinfect the air. When it is burned, it releases negative ions, which is linked to putting people into a positive mood. Moreover, it’s a great ally against stress.

2. Smudging sage connects us to the spiritual realm and boosts intuition

3. Purification of negativity

This includes past traumas, emotional blocks, or negative energies. Smudging may help you establish a positive environment for your meditations and rituals.

4. Cleansing or empowering specific objects

Burning sage creates fragrant smoke central to smudging’s benefits. You can use this incense to smudge yourself or specific spaces. Or, you can smudge specific objects.

This can be useful with new purchases, crystals, wallets, money, business cards, etc. If you have any concern with negative history or energy attached to a new or unfamiliar object, smudging may help bring peace of mind and make the object more sacred to you. Or you can use smudging for creating a magnetic energy for the object. For example, you can turn an ordinary banknote into real money magnet just by smudging it.

5. Improves the quality of your sleep

Sage is often used to safeguard against negativity that could interfere with sleep. It contains compounds that could help ease insomnia.

6. Increases focus

White sage can enhance cognition and alertness.

Different Kinds of Sage

There are many types of sage that you can use for smudging. Here are some common examples.

1. White Sage

It’s suitable for most smudging rituals, such as cleansing, healing, protection, etc. It’s perfect for meditations. When mixed with other herbs, it makes a wonderful base for a custom smudging blend.

2. Common Sage

It is a close relative of White Sage, and has many of the same benefits.

3. Blue Sage

It got its name for abundant blue flowers and blue-ish leaves. It has thin leaves. The fragrance of this kind is both herbaceous and floral, similar to Lavender. It’s good for healing and cleansing rituals, and meditation.

4. Lavender Sage

It has calming, peaceful, and sedating effects. Lavender Sage inspires love and relieves anxiety. It is a great choice for your manifesting practices and rituals.

5. Black Sage

It is usually used to encourage dreams and visions. When burned before bedtime, it aids in restful sleep and lucid dreaming. It is often used for astral travel, shamanic practices, and for protection.

6. Desert Sage

It has skinny, branched leaves and a light brown color. Usually it is used for cleansing and purifying, protection, and boosting inner power. Also it helps to bring pleasant thoughts, to relieve headaches and anxiety.

7. Dakota Sage

Its aroma and appearance is very similar to that of Desert Sage. However, its fragrance is usually less intense.

Different Ways to Use Sage

1. Energy Cleansing

psychic attack symptoms image

Evil spirits are afraid of the bitter smell of sage. It is one of the most powerful anti-demonic herbs that affects the energy of the entire body. Smudging is the best way to use it for energy cleansing purposes.

Alternatively, you can hang a small bundle of it in the house (it works best in the bedroom or the hallway). Its smell is too nasty for evil spirits such that they are forced to leave your house.

2. Ritual bath

Sage ritual bath is a powerful way to cleanse your aura. Take such baths at least once a week. But first make sure that you don’t have allergies and contraindications.

3. Attracting money

Did you know that sage is a wonderful money attractor? For this purpose, fumigate your wallet and a banknote with it. Then put that banknote in your wallet. In no case do not spend this bill and do not give it to anyone, as it is charged with the magnetic money energy! In addition to the money magnet, this simple yet powerful technique will protect your wallet and your money against pickpockets.

4. Protection from energy vampires and evil eye

If you put a piece of sage in your shoe under the right heel it will help you to avoid energy vampires and the evil eye. This trick will also help you not to lose energy while communicating with toxic people. Don’t use the same piece of sage twice for this purpose. Always replace it with a fresh piece.

5. Lucid dreaming, astral projection, and protection from astral attacks

How To Lucid Dream Image

If you put a piece of sage inside your pillow it will help you to improve your sleep, increase lucid dreaming and even have prophetic dreams. Moreover, such a pillow will help you to commit safe astral projections and will protect you from astral attacks.

6. Aromatherapy

Smudging helps to improve odor in your house and mood. Simply smudge around your home. You can place the bundle in a fireproof bowl or shell and allow it to smoke for a while.

How to Smudge?

It’s important to leave a window open before, during, and after smudging. This allows smoke to escape and take away impurities and negative energy with it.

  1. Light the end of a sage bundle with a match. Blow it out quickly if it catches on fire.
  2. Make sure that the tips of the leaves smolder slowly, releasing thick smoke.
  3. Direct this smoke around your body and space with one hand while holding the bundle in the other.
  4. Allow the ash to collect in a fireproof bowl or shell.

Smudging Living Space

burning sage image

When smudging your living space, direct sage smoke over all surfaces and spaces in your living area.

Smudging an Object

When smudging an object, direct smoke around and over it.

Never leave burning sage unattended.

Setting off smoke alarms is common. Consider this if you are smudging in a public building.

If you have asthma and other respiratory conditions you may be more sensitive to the smoke and even may experience adverse reactions.

Always leave a window open while smudging because inhaling smoke can be dangerous to your health.

Carl Jung Quotes: Transform Your Life With 50 Mind-Bending Sayings

Carl Jung Quotes Image

Carl Jung was a Swiss psychiatrist, an influential thinker and the founder of analytical psychology. Although he was a theoretical psychologist and a practicing clinician, he spent his life’s work on exploring other areas, such as Eastern and Western philosophy, alchemy, astrology, sociology, literature and the arts. His thoughts definitely deserve to be quoted and meditated upon. In this article, we’ve collected the most mind-bending Carl Jung quotes that can help you look at life from a different angle. When reading Carl Jung quotes you will see how amazingly well he combines logical thinking along with a grain of spirituality and the subconscious realms. We hope you will get inspired by our collection of Carl Jung quotes as much as we are!

So, here they are 50 mind-bended Carl Jung quotes!

50 Carl Jung Quotes

“A man who has not passed through the inferno of his passions has never overcome them. As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being. Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.”
– Carl Jung

“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
– Carl Jung

“Where wisdom reigns, there is no conflict between thinking and feeling.”
– Carl Jung

Carl Jung Quote Image

“I am not what happens to me, I am what I choose to become.”
– Carl Jung

“If there is anything that we wish to change in the child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves.”
– Carl Jung

“No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell.”
– Carl Jung

“Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of other people.”
– Carl Jung

“The greatest tragedy of the family is the unlived lives of the parents.”
– Carl Jung

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
– Carl Jung

“Every human life contains a potential, if that potential is not fulfilled, then that life was wasted.”
– Carl Jung

“Be silent and listen: have you recognized your madness and do you admit it? Have you noticed that all your foundations are completely mired in madness? Do you not want to recognize your madness and welcome it in a friendly manner? You wanted to accept everything. So accept madness too. Let the light of your madness shine, and it will suddenly dawn on you.

Madness is not to be despised and not to be feared, but instead you should give it life…If you want to find paths, you should also not spurn madness, since it makes up such a great part of your nature…Be glad that you can recognize it, for you will thus avoid becoming its victim.

Madness is a special form of the spirit and clings to all teachings and philosophies, but even more to daily life, since life itself is full of craziness and at bottom utterly illogical. Man strives toward reason only so that he can make rules for himself. Life itself has no rules. That is its mystery and its unknown law. What you call knowledge is an attempt to impose something comprehensible on life.”
– Carl Jung

“Every form of addiction is bad, no matter whether the narcotic is alcohol, morphine or idealism.”
– Carl Jung

“I don’t aspire to be a good man. I aspire to be a whole man.”
– Carl Jung

“Shame is a soul-eating emotion.”
– Carl Jung

“Children are educated by what the grown-up is and not by his talk.”
– Carl Jung

you are what you do quote image

“You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do.”
– Carl Jung

“I have frequently seen people become neurotic when they content themselves with inadequate or wrong answers to the questions of life. They seek position, marriage, reputation, outward success of money, and remain unhappy and neurotic even when they have attained what they were seeking. Such people are usually confined within too narrow a spiritual horizon. Their life has not sufficient content, sufficient meaning. If they are enabled to develop into more spacious personalities, the neurosis generally disappears.”
– Carl Jung

“Sometimes you have to do something unforgivable just to be able to go on living.”
– Carl Jung

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”
– Carl Jung

“The best political, social, and spiritual work we can do is to withdraw the projection of our shadow onto others.”
– Carl Jung

“Find out what a person fears most and that is where he will develop next.”
– Carl Jung

“It all depends on how we look at things, and not on how things are in themselves. The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.”
– Carl Jung

“We cannot change anything unless we accept it.”
– Carl Jung

“…anyone who attempts to do both, to adjust to his group and at the same time pursue his individual goal, becomes neurotic.”
– Carl Jung

“The decisive question for man is: Is he related to something infinite or not? That is the telling question of his life. Only if we know that the thing which truly matters is the infinite can we avoid fixing our interests upon futilities, and upon all kinds of goals which are not of real importance. Thus we demand that the world grant us recognition for qualities which we regard as personal possessions: our talent or our beauty. The more a man lays stress on false possessions and the less sensitivity he has for what is essential, the less satisfying is his life. He feels limited because he has limited aims, and the result is envy and jealousy. If we understand and feel that here in this life we already have a link with the infinite, desires and attitudes change.”
– Carl Jung

“What you resist, persists.”
– Carl Jung

“For better to come, good must stand aside.”
– Carl Jung

“If one does not understand a person, one tends to regard him as a fool.”
– Carl Jung

Carl Jung Saying Image

“Thinking is difficult, that’s why most people judge.”
– Carl Jung

“It is my mind, with its store of images, that gives the world color and sound; and that supremely real and rational certainty which I can “experience” is, in its most simple form, an exceedingly complicated structure of mental images. Thus there is, in a certain sense, nothing that is directly experienced except the mind itself. Everything is mediated through the mind, translated, filtered, allegorized, twisted, even falsified by it. We are enveloped in a cloud of changing and endlessly shifting images.”
– Carl Jung

“In each of us, there is another whom we do not know.”
– Carl Jung

“The healthy man does not torture others – generally it is the tortured who turn into torturers.”
– Carl Jung

“As a child, I felt myself to be alone, and I am still, because I know things and must hint at things which others apparently know nothing of, and for the most part do not want to know.”
– Carl Jung

“What if I should discover that the poorest of the beggars and the most impudent of offenders are all within me; and that I stand in need of the alms of my own kindness, that I, myself, am the enemy who must be loved – what then?”
– Carl Jung

“If the path before you is clear, you’re probably on someone else’s.”
– Carl Jung

“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
– Carl Jung

“The dream is a little hidden door in the innermost and most secret recesses of the soul, opening into that cosmic night which was psyche long before there was any ego-consciousness, and which will remain psyche no matter how far our ego-consciousness extends.”
– Carl Jung

“Faith, hope, love, and insight are the highest achievements of human effort. They are found-given-by experience.”
– Carl Jung

“Christians often ask why God does not speak to them, as he is believed to have done in former days. When I hear such questions, it always makes me think of the rabbi who asked how it could be that God often showed himself to people in the olden days whereas nowadays nobody ever sees him. The rabbi replied: “Nowadays there is no longer anybody who can bow low enough.”

This answer hits the nail on the head. We are so captivated by and entangled in our subjective consciousness that we have forgotten the age-old fact that God speaks chiefly through dreams and visions. The Buddhist discards the world of unconscious fantasies as useless illusions; the Christian puts his Church and his Bible between himself and his unconscious, and the rational intellectual does not yet know that his consciousness is not his total psyche.”
– Carl Jung

“In all chaos, there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order.”
– Carl Jung

“Nobody can fall so low unless he has great depth.”
– Carl Jung

If such a thing can happen to a man, it challenges his best and highest on the other side; that is to say, this depth corresponds to a potential height and the blackest darkness to a hidden light.”
– Carl Jung

“Space flights are merely an escape, a fleeing away from oneself because it is easier to go to Mars or to the moon than it is to penetrate one’s own being.”
– Carl Jung

“Every individual needs revolution, inner division, overthrow of the existing order, and renewal, but not by forcing them upon his neighbors under the hypocritical cloak of Christian love or the sense of social responsibility or any of the other beautiful euphemisms for unconscious urges to personal power.”
– Carl Jung

“Whatever is rejected from the self, appears in the world as an event.”
– Carl Jung

“Explore daily the will of God.”
– Carl Jung

“We have forgotten the age-old fact that God speaks chiefly through dreams and visions.”
– Carl Jung

Carl Jung Image

“Real liberation comes not from glossing over or repressing painful states of feeling, but only from experiencing them to the full.”
– Carl Jung

“One of the main functions of organized religion is to protect people against a direct experience of God.”
– Carl Jung

Freedom of will is the ability to do gladly that which I must do.”

The Gift of Giving: Benefits of Generosity

Gift of time image

Tis the season for Gift Giving! What are the true benefits of giving? In what place do you give from? Why do you give? How does giving serve you and the ones you give to? What comes from a generous heart? In this article, I’m going to share with you what may come as a surprise, the benefits of generosity and what exactly is in the gift of giving.

Around holidays, birthdays, and celebrations we tend to give more, or we are encouraged to give gifts around these specific times. Do we really take the time to examine why we are giving and what intentions we have in our giving?

It’s important to develop and create a generous heart with no obligations or expectations of return.

Giving Just Because

wrapping christmas presents image

One of the main reasons to give should be because your heart desires to. Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege.
Giving out of obligation, giving to serve the ego, giving to get something in return or giving just because it’s the holidays will not be rewarding and will not carry the same heart resonance as giving just because your heart wants to give from a place with zero expectations or obligations.

The holidays can become stressful and financially unmanageable when you are pressuring yourself to give during these specific times. We tend to look for gifts during these periods and then it becomes obligatory in nature and this can remove the pleasure that comes with giving freely from the heart.

Giving when you are prompted from your heart, versus because there’s simply a holiday present, will always be more rewarding.
It removes the pressures of only giving during the holidays and spreads cheer year around. Many of us give during these specific times because we feel like we should because it seems most everyone else is giving during these times and because socially it’s the “thing” to do and what is expected or appropriate in our society.

I encourage you to give all year around for no reason at all other than your heart’s desire. Maybe a friend or a relative is going through a tough period and you want to lift their spirits, this is a great time to activate your generosity and send a small token or handwritten note to express your sentiments. Giving as a surprise just because you appreciate others meaningful presence in your life. When people aren’t expecting gifts and they show up “just because” the joy is usually immense from the recipient.

Small gestures go a long way. The gift of giving is the gift.

Generosity Enhances Your Life On Many Levels

gift giving

You will receive an upwelling of joy and warmth that is bestowed upon the recipient when you give. The magic is reciprocated by the spirit of generosity.

It feels enriching to give. When you give you are opening your own portals to receive. When you hold, begrudge and constrict you block your own blessings and gifts of reciprocity. The more generous and giving your heart is the more space you allow for universal gifts to flow into your own life.

Giving from your heart increases your well being, transmutes stress and in turn boosts your immune system. Feeling the excitement and love that others feel from receiving your beautiful intentions and heartfelt expressions cause a multitude of chain reactions throughout your entire being. On a cellular, physical and spiritual level we are being activated in a positive energetic way. The world needs more generosity, we thrive on it, whereas greed has the opposite effect, debilitating ourselves.

There Are Many Ways to Give And Be Generous

gift of time image

Many times when we think of gift giving we think of physical things that require financial means, this is not the only way to give. In fact, some of the most precious and heartfelt gifts take little to no money at all. The manner of giving is worth more than the gift.

We all know how valuable time and effort is. We live in a busy world with many demands. This is why freely gifting your time and presence is highly valued.

  • Donating an extra set of hands on a project of giving back to others.
  • Taking the time to listen and be present when others are feeling challenged.
  • Creating handmade cards, crafts, artwork or just handwritten love notes to those you hold near and dear to your heart.
  • Drawing a salt bath with essential oils for a partner, friend or loved one after a long day of work.
  • Asking how you can assist others in their time of need.
  • Offering free childcare to a single mother, father or couple that needs time for themselves.
  • Watering plants, feeding stray hungry animals, giving them shelter and a kind presence.
  • Giving someone a hug with encouragement.
  • Taking time to pray for others well being and success.
  • Holding someone’s hands when they’re afraid.
  • Holding doors open, allowing others to go in front of you in line.
  • Allowing others to be right.
  • Listening with a non-judgmental presence.
  • Listening to hear without having the need to respond.
  • Smiling and acknowledging others presence. Everyone matters.

There are endless opportunities for gift giving. Being creative and recognizing that any action, deed or gesture from the heart small or large is truly a gift.

Don’t Forget to Give to Yourself

self-love relationship

Ultimately by giving to others, you are giving to yourself. How you treat others is a big indicator of how you feel about yourself. Make sure you don’t forget yourself in this equation. Many of us are guilty of primarily gifting others and leaving ourselves out or feeling guilty for giving back to ourselves. You are an important part of the gift-giving circle. Treat yourself with kindness, compassion, and self-love. Make sure you refuel and restore yourself. Commit to showing up for yourself. Be good to your body. Check in with yourself regularly and make sure you are taking the time to give yourself the gift of cultivating healthy habits that enhance your mind, body, and soul.

The Bottom Line

I hope this article is a reminder that generosity comes in many different forms and that there is no certain right time to give. Most importantly that you should always give from your heart. I’ll leave you with this:

“I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver” ~Maya Angelou

Feng Shui Christmas Tree Placement Rules for Abundance and Happiness

Christmas is just around the corner, so it’s time to decorate your Christmas tree! You might be asking, what’s so special about the Christmas Tree placement? Why do we need to use Feng Shui Christmas tree placement rules in this simple action we’ve done so many times before? The thing is that a Christmas tree with bright decorations, garlands, and lights is a powerful source of Yang energy. When we place a Christmas tree in a certain sector, we activate the energy of this sector.

From an astrological point of view, each sector can be a source of positive or negative energy. And if a Christmas tree gets into a sector with negative energy, this energy gets activated and attracts all kinds of problems into your life. If the tree gets into the sector with positive energy, it gives the opposite effect – you attract luck, abundance, and well-being. All these astrological subtleties are calculated by Feng Shui masters.

Everything is important in Feng Shui Christmas tree placement: where the Christmas tree will be placed, how active will the room be where you place it, what color you choose for its decoration, what date and time you choose to install the Christmas tree. In short, each seemingly insignificant detail can have a huge impact on the energy of the house.

In this article, I will not delve into the complex Feng Shui formulas but instead, I will give you practical tips on how to activate the positive energy of your home and avoid the activation of negative energy.

Why Is It So Important Where the Christmas Lights Are?

christmas lights image

In terms of Feng Shui, there are two kinds of energy — Yin and Yang. Yang energy is active and live. If the Yang energy fills the favorable sector of your home, it activates the flow of positive energy and attracts good luck to you. For example, you can suddenly get a bonus, your salary can be raised, you may come up with a new great idea, etc.

However, if the Yang energy gets into the unfavorable sector, it activates all kinds of failures of your life – you can lose money, health, happiness, peace, and you can quarrel with loved ones, etc.

Following Feng Shui Christmas tree rules, will help you to attract good luck and improve your life.

Where to Place the Christmas Tree and What Decorations to Use In December 2019?

Energy changes every year. Therefore, the following recommendations were created by taking into account the energies of December 2019.

In order to determine which sector to put the Christmas tree in, you need to have a Bagua map of your house. If you still don’t have a Bagua map and don’t know what it is read my article “The Feng Shui Bagua Map”.

So, here are the main Feng Shui Christmas tree placement recommendations!

Which Sector to Choose According to the Feng Shui Christmas Tree Placement Rules?

Northwest sector of your house or Northwest corner of your living room

blue christmas balls image

You can use blue, white, and gold decorations for the tree in this sector.

Do not hang Christmas lights in the Northwest sector of your house!

There should be no activity in this sector. It should be a quiet and peaceful place. No loud noise is allowed here. Fire is especially unfavorable here (it can provoke poisoning, diseases, and inflammation). Do not light candles, do not use red decorations, do not hang Christmas lights in the Northwest sector of your house or the Northwest corner of your living room.

North sector of your house or North corner of your living room

bright blue christmas decorations image

If you decided to place your Christmas tree in the North sector, then make sure not to use Christmas lights for its decoration here. You can use blue and green decorations.

South sector of your house or South corner of your living room

Christmas silver decorations image

South sector is a bad place for your Christmas tree this year! So it’s better if you place your Christmas tree somewhere else. If for some reason it’s impossible then, at least, make sure that you are not using Christmas lighs in this sector. Use white and silver decorations for your tree.

Southwest sector of your house or Southwest corner of your living room

blue and silver christmas decorations image

It’s not a good sector for placing a Christmas tree this year. If it’s possible try to find another place for your tree. If it’s impossible then make sure not to use any Cristmas lights in this sector. It’s important to keep this sector peaceful and quite. No loud noise is allowed here.

Southeast sector of your house or Southeast corner of your living room

Green Feng Shui Christmas Tree Decorations Image

If you decided to place your Christmas tree in the Southeast sector, then use blue and green Christmas decorations. This colors will attract new opportunities, good luck, and prosperity!

It is the best place for a Christmas tree in this sector this year! If it’s possible make sure to use this amazing opportunity to activate your good luck! By placing a Christmas tree here you are activating prosperity, money flow, and harmony for the entire family.

For performing this activation, hang the Christmas lights and colorful decorations on your Christmas tree! Don’t forget to say your intention to activate your prosperity luck before you start decorating your Christmas tree. Also, if you want to triple the power of this activation, say outloud money affirmations while decorating your Christmas tree!

West sector of your house or West corner of your living room

white christmas tree image

It’s not the best sector for placing a Christmas tree this year. If you can’t place your Christmas tree anywhere else then make sure to use white, gold, silver or blue decorations here.

Northeast sector of your house or Northeast corner of your living room
